As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Vakhtang leads the strategic design, software engineering and ongoing innovation of KMK’s technology infrastructure, operations, and delivery. With over twenty years of industry experience, he excels in driving growth and scalability through strategic technology adoption and process innovation to improve quality and team cohesiveness. 

He is a highly active and engaged communicator and technology evangelist who believes in collaborative leadership and is assisting the organization by transforming business requirements into effective engineering solutions.

Areas of Expertise

Vakhtang is an expert in software architecture, cloud infrastructure and product development where he is able to keenly navigate process improvement initiatives, direct large-scale implementations, and build high-performance teams. His strategic vision has propelled the development of secure, cloud-based collaboration and identity management solutions for highly regulated life sciences, healthcare, and aerospace & defense markets. 

He is proficient in executing SaaS technology projects to shorten time-to-market to improve quality and team cohesiveness.  

Career Background

Prior to joining KMK, Vakhtang spent seventeen years at Exostar, a cybersecurity software company that provides secure collaboration and risk management solutions to the Defense Industrial base, where he was the Senior Director of Engineering. In this role he carried out efforts to modernize all aspects of software development and delivery, while reducing technical debt. Vakhtang holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland.
